Last night, I didn't get to sleep at all as I had to work through the whole night to meet my deadline! It was raining. Sipping warm hot steaming coffee and working just seemed to go hand in hand. Just a few sips and I was ready to rock my day into action and typed like the "Michael Schumacher" style of typist.

In fact, I was able to get it done earlier but instead of taking a small break to go stretch my legs or fuel up my cuppa java, I took a long break! I constantly checked my Inbox(s). I watched two movies on DVDs; The Women and High School Musical 3. I blog hopped and I was stuck chatting with my blog buddies. I was surfing the net and stuck here, a web hosting resource with the ins and outs of website hosting providers and services. Do check it out! It may help you make the best and most informed decision when choosing web hosting.

Oh, its 3:30pm now, coffee time!

we have had in KL so far.

...are useful in hiding my emotions.

I have a day when I am completely apathetic about everything, which was yesterday. It can be extremely frustrating, especially when I have tons to do, and at the same time my Internet connection is terribly slow! It is like a turtle crawling up a hill! No, slower than that! And, some blogs take an un-believable amount of time to load the entire page! Some take FOREVER! If I have visited your site and closed out due to having no patience, my most humble apology. It really drives me nuts. Then a sudden wave of "don't-feel-like-doing-anything" hit hard! Yes, yes I know I am not the only one. I am sure you have ever had one of these days when apathy strikes.

So, yesterday Ralph tried his best to cheer me up. He dragged me out of the house and we went shopping. Woo-oho! Nothing can cheer me up better than shopping. Thank God he is a man who loves to shop, like me. Great timing, as I need to get myself new pair of sunglasses too. In fact my GUESS sunglasses are a great one, but I need something which is as pleasurable to look through as to look at.

Ended up,

I have bug eyes and he has burnt a hole in his pocket.

Well, if you do not like the oversized sunglasses, then go to zennioptical.com that offers a range of sunglasses and eyeglasses which are not just cheap, but also make for an intelligent fashion decision in economically tough times.

Even the New York Times recommended them and has a nice piece up on their low cost frames! Read more about it at http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/23/health/policy/23patient.html?_r=1. Happy browsing, if your Internet connection is not like a turtle!

Bluecrystaldude and Jackie tagged me for a photo challenge and this is such an easy (thank you so much) tag! The rules are, go to the 6th folder in the folder with all your photos and select the 6th photo and post it. Simple, right?

So here's my 6th photo from my 6th folder.

A photo of me before I ran away like a mad woman. It was a hot and sunny day, with a huge blue sky. What a beautiful day! Man, the sun is like a hot iron pressing down on me!

Oh, by the way, that is not in Thanon Sukhumvit.

Ralph and I have been dating for 3 years now and he's a fantastic bf every single day. He works his arse off, and yet he still cares for my sorry arse when I'm sick as hell, he showers me with gifts on a day when it isn't "expected", he does everything for me and he loves me whole-heartedly. So, you can see why I'll not impose on him on Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day arrived. I slept late the night before and ended up sleeping almost half the day. Ralph was teaching during the day and he had a meeting in the evening. So, I wasn't expecting much and I doubted a romantic dinner was planned. I didn't expect him to wake me up with a large diamond heart shaped pendant or a giant teddy bear sitting next to me either. Flowers die, chocolate gets eaten, and I have enough lingerie, thank you! I would be happy if he comes up with 365 different things to say about me.

When I say, "I don't want anything" means I don't want him to BUY me anything.
"I don't want anything" does NOT mean I don't want him to DO anything at all.

In the evening after his meeting, he sent me a message telling me to get ready for dinner. I was looking forward to a simple, no-thinking-required evening. We drove for about 30 minutes. I asked him where we were going, he said just drive around and find something to eat. I was hungry! So, I was complaining about it. "We didn't make any reservation for dinner; everywhere will be fully-booked!" "Not to worry about it baby, we just drive around (again) and we'll see how." What kind of crap is that? It's driving me insane. Finally, he drove to Starhill and parked the car. I turned around to him and he said, "No, we are not going to eat here baby." "So, where are we going?!" I feel like stabbing him with Cupid's arrow! He took out his cell phone and made a phone call. "Hi this is... sorry we're late... please kept the table for us... we are on the way now." I just looked at him. At that very moment, I lit up like a Christmas tree!

Well, we ended up at Moussandra Mediterranean Restaurant & Tapas Bar (the oldest Mediterranean and tapas restaurant in Kuala Lumpur) for a wonderful dinner! It is tucked away in a quiet spot of KL Plaza, a perfect hideaway from the hustle bustle of Bukit Bintang.

The romantic atmosphere, rustic and cozy ambiance alone earns the restaurant bonus points.

We spent the rest of the time there looking into each other's eyes smiling and talking about how we loved each other so much laughing and recalling the past years of togetherness that we have shared.

Moussandra serves authentic Greek, Spanish and Italian cuisine, and we proceeded to enjoy one of the best meals we had in a while.

Esparragos A La Parrilla (Grilled Asparagus with Shredded Parmesan).

My PESCADO A LAS FINAS HERBAS (Herb Crusted Dory Fish Fillet served on Garlic Mashed Potatoes with Spinach & Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce).

His SALMON A LA PLANCHA (Grilled Norwegian Salmon with Asparagus, Mashed Potatoes served with Creamy Dill Sauce).

Baby, *paused a moment* *said mushy mushy things you don't wanna hear* *paused a moment*

This really cracked me up because the restaurant manager was standing next to us taking our picture while asking Ralph to say something to me.

For dessert, we had freshly baked chocolate cake with Kahlua.... Oh la la!

Even though this wasn't the most elaborate or expensive Valentine's Day dinner, I really loved it because I knew it had taken him a long time to scour the restaurant lists to nail down the perfect outlet to indulge me to a memorable Valentine's Day meal. To me it's the thought that counts!

Next! After dinner, here comes the best part. It's a funny story (my next post - whenever that will be) which I can talk and laugh about it next year and the next and every year thereafter. Whoops!

What's your flavour?

Monday, February 16, 2009

I had a rollicking Valentines Day, yesterday! A day which I'll never ever forget for the rest of my life and I'll post about it as soon as I possibly can.

All I've got to give to him are these five words - thank you for last night. And, thank you for loving me!

There was something funny happened last night though , and this part of the song would describe about it perfectly.

"You pick me up when I fall down
You ring the bell before they count me out
If I was drowning you would part the sea
And risk your own life to rescue me"
