Our godparents brought Ralph and me to Seremban on a Saturday afternoon. The moment we reached there, we drove around this small town looking for food. We have been told that Tow Kee Hakka Noodles @ Jalan Kapitan Tam Yeong serves the best Hakka noodles. This coffee shop has existed in Seremban since the 1930s and it ONLY sells Hakka noodles!

The home-made without preservatives flat noodles come with minced pork in a thick clear sauce. It tasted great! Our godmother even bought some to bring back to KL.

After that, we went to Empayar Seremban Siew Pow for siew pow (a type of baked Chinese dumpling which is must-have by those who visit this town)! This building is located beside the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway near the Seremban/Labu Toll plaza.

One is never enough!

So Ralph bought a dozen siew pows that just came out from the oven!

Remember the robbery in Ampang? Well, this is another incident happened a few months ago when a gang of burglars barged into my neighbor's house through the front door in broad daylight. They had forced open the prison-type metal bar gate and they escaped with laptops, watches, branded handbags, traveler's cheques and an LCD monitor, the house owner said, adding that no one was at home except their BIG dog with big teeth! Surprisingly, we didn't hear the dog bark that day. In fact, their dog barks aggressively at anything that passes by including me. I assumed that most burglars will skip a house with dogs who bark, because even if they don't bite, they'll likely get neighbors' attention.

It was on a Sunday afternoon. Ralph was watching Prison Break (it was pretty loud till we couldn't hear things going on outside) while waiting for me to get ready for shopping. We weren't unaware that the house had been broken into until we saw two police cars outside when were ready to go out. Fortunately, they have hidden Wireless Security Cameras affixed to the front door and backyard. I really hope these images could aid the police in finding the perpetrators which in turn fight to get criminals off the streets and into jail, so they can't target another innocent home!

I have never been on a cruise before. My friends said, "You haven't lived until you've cruised!" Sometimes I feel so busy and not knowing what to do first. Sometimes I feel so lazy and bored that I don't want to do anything or nothing. I was supposed to go shopping yesterday, but I woke up super late, at 6pm! I slept almost 10 hours straight.

I slept well, and woke up feeling fresh!

I should be in a good mood but I am not. I feel so lazy I can't even perform my daily routine. I think I am more like an orange mood today. Luckily Ralph was around. Ended up, he was playing StarCraft II and I was playing Strike It Lucky to unwind.

Have you ever just gotten completely burned out? Your brain no longer functions. You can't seem to accomplish the easiest of tasks? I know I need a vacation when I find myself thinking of reasons why I need a vacation. It stave off burnout, it can keep me healthy and it can strengthen bonds! Ralph and I have been telling each other that we need a 'vacation' to ourselves. The last time we had one was like a few months ago with our friends. We have not had one since then. I begin to think... Where do I want to go? What do I want to do? Well, as long as the city is a shopper's paradise with its endless number of good quality department stores, boutiques, specialty shops, and the choice of food is endless providing for every taste, appetite and pocket, I don't mind to have Cheap Holidays! But, because of his time constraint, I am not sure when do we get the chance to go! Oh well, probably I just go find a crime partner as I can't travel solo. I can't even eat alone, what more travel alone.

Now I sit in front of my lappie dreaming of warm breezes through my hair and cocktails poolside after a long day of shopping.

A trip to Kota Kinabalu will not be complete without taking time to visit one of its tourist destinations, the Poring Hot Springs. Located 40 km south-east of the Kinabalu National Park Headquarters, in the district of Ranau, Poring is situated in lowland rainforest, contrasting with the montane and submontane rainforest of Kinabalu National Park.

First developed by the Japanese during World War II, it is now amongst Sabah's top tourism destinations!

The main attraction which draws visitors to Poring Hot Springs is of course the hot springs. The hot pools and cold springs are found in a forest clearing which is now converted into a flower garden.

Bathe in the Japanese-style baths. The thermal pools are available as open air style tiled baths with taps to fill with fresh water.

If you visit the hot springs after Kinabalu Park, make sure to retain your Kinabalu Park entrance ticket, as then you don't have to pay at Poring Hot Springs!

Yesterday was a busy day for me! Busy in a good way though. I sent my sister to the airport in the morning as she was going back to Sabah to celebrate Mother's Day with my dearest Queen. But I can't go back! Blame that to my workload which thrust upon me, barely allowing me time to breathe. Although the heavy workload has been stressful at times, I always try to get outside, have some fun, and be with friends; it's the best way to relieve some of the stress!

After I had worked on a few things last night, we headed out to our Iranian friend, Farzam's crib; he invited us there for dinner - barbeque. *Oh no! BBQ, again?*

Anyway, while I was waiting patiently for the guys to barbeque meats, I used Farzam's VAIO to surf the net, blog hopping and visit sites. I reviewed a site listing top USA player accepted casinos. One fine Sunday, my sister and I went to 1 Utama as we were looking for Mother's Day gift. Oh, there was a fashion show going on that day. Check out these thin stick models!



Okay, back to the gift. At first, I was not quite sure of what to get for her this time round. The last Mother's Day, I got her a handbag. She loved it so much. My sister told me that my mom has a lot of things and that made it a lot difficult to get her a new thing. Then, I recalled something. Remember my new shades?



Well, apparently she liked it. I certainly couldn’t recall the last time my mom wears any shades. When I was young she had a few of them. I often played with them and I accidentally broke one, the one which she was really fond of. She never got angry but I knew that she was probably a bit sad. A pair of affordable prescription sunglasses with high quality stylish frame and the one that comes with UV protection and Anti Scratch would be a perfect gift for her.

Ralph always ensures that despite his busy schedule, he spends enough time with me and our friends. I would say the most precious thing he gives me is his time! Last night started out with having dinner and a movie (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) at The Curve before we hung out at our friend's place. The whole entire night, we were playing boxing and golf on Nintendo Wii with our friends. Well, I don't really enjoy boxing and golf because I can't play worth a darn!

Out of many weeks, despite all of the photo shoots and some funny dramas in Malaysian Dreamgirl 2, this week is the best! Why? At first glance, these final four girls may seem to have certain gifts in them especially in this modeling industry. They appear to be the next models on the up and coming runway shows or perhaps another face which we all will see on some magazines. Despite all these, they are just ordinary people who lead somewhat normal life. Perhaps they could be the person sitting next to you in a cinema or sharing the same teh tarik and char koay teow at our local food court. Just ordinary, I would say.

This week, the organizer of MDG2 had made a plan in which the girls were sent home to meet their parents and boyfriends. I found it really interesting when the girls were interviewed. They revealed certain episodes of their life to viewers. Some seemed to be pretty normal and some were kind of rather touching. It was more to mixed feelings kind of thing overall. Ming, for instance, loves singing and I would say that she has pretty voice! She demonstrated her singing with her boyfriend playing the guitar when she brought the crew to Malacca to meet her family members and her boyfriend. I believe she should pursue that dream of hers. With undivided support from her parents and her boyfriend, she could be the next recording artist.

Other than Ming, Dawn, as usual a bit bubbly as she always do. Perhaps it is her nature to be that way. She has shown pretty good and interesting record in MDG2 all this while. Dawn, from her nature is a person who is quite mature. She knows what she is getting into and she tries her best to make it work. That is one her best quality. She is adaptive and she does not complain much no matter what people put on her even though she got almost bald; her hair was like a half cut watermelon served at Paris Restaurant in one of the photo shoots. However, she does not seem to focus much on what she says. As featured in the latest video, she often missed out and failed to get to the point when answering some questions asked. She is easily carried away in her conversations. Somebody has got to pull her back on the track once in a while. Funny but it is true.

Dawn

Juanita fits the whole package to be a model as commented by Julie, who happens to be one of the judges. Juanita indeed has all of what it takes to be our next MDG but there is one part of her which I think still the main issue. Her expression perhaps is one of the toughest problems which she has to overcome as soon as possible. She has the look, the height, the figure and as well as the language. All she needs now is the expressions to complete her package to be one. I am pretty sure she can train herself and work on it. All these while, I notice that Juanita has never fallen into any of the bottom three yet. This shows that she has pretty strong supporters out there. Maybe people love her or perhaps she is just lucky. Either way, she deserves to be a model.

For Pinky, I salute her. This time it is not about her successful photo shoots and funny characters sometimes but about her true self. Despite her so called "disability" in terms of her language, she faces the reality with all her strength and pride. She never denies the fact that she cannot speak well. That does not stop her to be our next MDG, right? She can always learn the language later. It is never too late. The most important part that I would like to reveal about her is that her personal life. She may be seen as some typical girl who can be stamped as 'High Maintenance' or perhaps materialistic, to put it bluntly. But, guess one more time, she is not. Though that may not surprises some people but it surely surprises others who do not know her. I have come to learn that Pinky has a wonderful heart. She knows money and wealth do not guarantee happiness. She understands that love cannot be exchanged for any of those. Despite her mother’s disfavor of her love life with Ah Fai, she still embraces her love closely. Ah Fai is indeed a very lucky man. And, I know this may not be important to MDG but if the next model to be chosen please let it be someone with the heart not someone who is only chasing after popularity. After all, a model is someone who can influence people and not the other way around.

Overall, these girls deserve to be models. But in every competition, only one winner will be chosen. Whoever is chosen to be the next MDG is indeed a person who surpasses all the obstacles and hail victorious. Next week, the model with the lowest SMS votes for this 2 week period will be eliminated and the 3 remaining models will then go on to the Grand Finale where 1 of them will be crowned the next Malaysian Dreamgirl.

Hmmm... who will be eliminated next week?!

Last night, Ralph and I planned not to go out of the city like most people do and like we always do. Instead of that, he organized a party at home with some close friends. Ralph arranged this meet for about a month ago without informing me. He made some calls just to make sure everything runs smoothly. He is always like that when it comes to organizing things. One thing he made it crystal clear that this time round no coffee or tea to be served but BEER. Opps...is he serious? He said a barbeque party without beer is like a day without the sun. He loves beer so much! He prepared everything and I helped him wherever I could. I must say that I love eating his barbeque chicken wings but I never expected that it tasted even better with beer instead of soft drinks. Wow… simply amazing!

During the party, all of the guests seemed to enjoy themselves. One topic led to another and finally we ended up at one common topic which was beer itself. A friend of mine told Ralph that they could actually brew their very own beer at home. According to him that there is a place somewhere selling equipment needed to make home brew beer. Everyone seemed to be attracted to it. And, Ralph told him that he wanted to register as a member of Beer Universe. A lot of information can be gathered from this site, from what beer to choose to the ups and downs of the industry. That is where all the beer lovers hang out. Wanna see what he got for this party besides the chicken wings and some sausages?

Yoo-hoo! It's Labour Day! After 12 hours of sleep (well rested!), I woke up to check the weather outside. Oh no! It's another hot and humid day. *frown*

Enjoy the long weekend and recharge your batteries. Speaking of workaholics, Ralph has been very busy and he has worked REALLY HARD! Phew~ He definitely deserves a break more than I do.
